Challenge Inaccessibility
Society unintentionally places minor and major obstacles before wheelchair users, making it difficult for them to go about their daily lives.
Puzzles, challenges and games often grab the attention of readers mindlessly flicking through the newspaper. By adapting the chair wheel into a maze, we can encourage the reader to question their mindless actions and consider the many overlooked factors of able-bodied people’s lives. Our execution encourages the reader to physically pick up their pen and place themselves in the world of the wheelchair user on their commute to work, prompting them to get around some of the challenges society unintentionally places before them. In turn, we aim to convert the readers into allies that advocate for accessibility.
This idea was shortlisted for the 2025 Cannes Young Lions competition.
